PARENTS AND THE SCHOOL

The school tries to keep you well informed of events through notes and newsletters.  We encourage you to join in the life of the school by inviting you to attend our Harvest Festival, Christmas Concert or Nativity Play, Open Day, sporting events and PTA social events

We also call upon your involvement - listening to children read, assisting children with baking, technology and computer activities, helping to maintain the library and transporting to sports events

Two Parents' Evenings, to discuss the progress of the children, are held during the Autumn and Spring Terms.  A detailed written school report covering all the national curriculum subjects is issued towards the end of the Summer Term.

PARENT TEACHERS'
ASSOCIATION

We have a properly constituted and very active Parent Teachers' Association and all parents are automatically members and are entitled to attend our meetings.

Through its various educational, social and fund raising activities the Association aims to help communication between home and school and at the same time provide funds for extra equipment.

Under current arrangements the PTA  cover the cost of:

  • transport for all educational visits.

  • homework books

  • many of our reading scheme books

  • most of our computers

At present the control of the Association is vested in a committee comprising of twenty-three members.
